The XCMG XS223J is a 22-ton class extra-heavy-duty mechanical-drive single-drum vibratory roller with an operating weight of 22,000 kg, powered by a Shangchai SC7H190.2G3 or SC8D185.2G2B1 engine delivering a rated power of 136 to 140 kW. The vibration system features a dual-frequency, dual-amplitude design with vibration frequencies of 28/33 Hz, nominal amplitudes of 1.86/0.93 mm, and centrifugal forces of 374/290 kN. The compaction width is 2,130 mm with a static linear load of 656 N/cm, ensuring excellent compaction results across various materials. Travel speed is continuously adjustable from 0 to 10 km/h, with a theoretical gradeability of 30% (up to 50% optional), and overall dimensions are approximately 6,220 × 2,430 × 3,200 mm. The low-speed engine, combined with an optimized drivetrain, delivers approximately 8% higher working efficiency while reducing overall fuel consumption by about 10%. The cab features combined stiffness damping for reduced vibration and an electro-hydraulic controlled powershift transmission with an ergonomic control handle for effortless operation.
